In 2000, the Surdykes purchased the 10,800 square foot building from former owner Dale Walksler, who had owned the dealership since 1976. Since then
Dale’s has grown to be THE largest selling Harley-Davidson dealership in Southern Illinois in a new 25,000 square foot facility located at the intersection of the 2 major highways in Mt Vernon, Illinois.
Dale’s Harley-Davidson continues to lead the pack in Southern Illinois.
The growth can be attributed to various in store promotions and efforts such as
Women Only Garage Parties, Harley Owner’s Clinics, and Holiday Parties.
Dale’s Harley-Davidson partners with several local charities to help raise money and create awareness for very worthwhile causes. All the events help the community in tremendous ways via fundraising, thanks in part to the customers that are attracted to the charity event.
Not only is Dale’s above the rest in the way of promotions and community involvement, but also in customer focus.
